Ruysschaert Course Rules

  1. The pupils always speak the target language. During the whole course, in the classroom and everywhere outside the classroom. Anyone who does not respect this rule, can be excluded from the rest of the course. The decision of the organiser is final.
  2. It is forbidden for pupils to go into one another’s rooms.
  3. Everyone shall behave in a correct fashion and with respect for others. The instructions of the organiser (teachers, monitors and management) as well as the school shall be strictly adhered to, both during lessons and at all other times.  Both the organiser and the school emphasise the importance of correct ethical behaviour and will under no circumstances accept the  use of drugs or alcohol from the pupils. Failure to adhere to this ethical code will give rise to immediate exclusion.
  4. Amorous relationships will not be tolerated.
  5. Pupils who wish to smoke must be at least 16 years old and should hand over a note of written parental consent to the management at the start of the course.
  6. MP3 player, iPod, tablet and radio are not allowed (we wish to rule out all contact with the mother tongue for a whole week).
  7. The use of mobile phones or smartphones is absolutely forbidden. Anyone who wants to phone can do so at the secretarial office.
  8. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any pupil who leaves the institute. If a pupil causes damage to buildings, equipment or to third parties he/she and/or his/her parents will be charged.
  9. Parents authorise the organiser to administer first aid in the event of common sickness symptoms (flu, pain, wounds…), without consulting a doctor, whereby the organiser promises to act as any other person placed in the same position.
  10. Parents promise to mention whether a pupil has a particular allergy linked to a particular common medicine. If there is no such mention then it will be assumed that the pupil is not allergic to common medicines. The organiser promises to contact parents in the event of a pupil showing serious symptoms and to contact a doctor immediately.
  11. The organiser is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal belongings.
  12. The use of spray cans (propellants) is forbidden because of the extreme sensitivity of the alarm system. Anyone who, deliberately or not activates the alarm system, shall pay the costs of damage to the school, and or the fire brigade.
  13. Any infringement of the course rules could lead to immediate exclusion from the rest of the course, whereby the organiser’s decision is final. Parents will be required to come and collect their child the day of the exclusion.
  14. If a pupil is excluded from the course or leaves of his own free will , €100,00 of the course fee will be refunded, so long as this happens the first day of the course. Should this happen later than the aforementioned period, then no refund will be given. Refunds may be limited if other discounts have been awarded.
  15. Parents authorise the organiser to take mood photos during the course, with occasional images of pupils that can and may be used in any form to promote the organisation (folders, Internet…).
  16. By enrolling in the course, you  explicitly accept these course rules.
